Too small, not enough racks, makes a noise, drawers are too small , no warning that if your previous fridge has a water line for Ice that you need to hire a plumber to cap the water line since this fridge has no ice maker.

Fridge was installed August 26, 2025. However GE Registration shows August 25, 2025. I was finally able to create an account with the registration process. GE website is customer UNfriendly! Was unable to create an account during purchase- was not shown the ice maker or any accessories. After purchase I called and requested ge representative to check my order for any discrepancies or suggestions - ge representative said I did everything right. Even though accessories were not shown so I had no way of knowing what was available.

My house limits the refrigerator size. Of all the refrigerators available to me this is the only one that fits. The previous refrigerator was also a GE, of course. I replaced it because is getting old. I estimate the old box to be over 30 years old. It is now serving as a back up refrigerator. I always buy GE refrigerators. They last longer.

Why wire racks ??

It™€™s a very nice refrigerator but the wire racks are a terrible idea. If the item isn™€™t flat it won™€™t stand and if you spill something it goes all the way down. I think for the money they could be the glass racks.

It looks like my old Kenmore 18.9 cuf Biscuit color fridge that I paid $499 for at Sears, that I had for seventeen years, apart from the size the new one is 16.6 cuf two inches smaller, apart from that the new fridge, inside looks very cheap, wire shelves, freezer without ice bin, not like my old fridge which had glass shelves, halves of these shelves could be adjusted to several heights, humidity control at the bottom in drawers, small butter container, top shelf had a drawer for cold cuts, freezer had a container for ice, the new one doesn't have that, and costs a fortune $719 plus delivery and removing the old one $50 and tax almost $850. The question is whether I am satisfied...let's say yes, to be able to say something more you have to wait a few years most importantly that after two weeks of waiting it finally reached me, I connected it, it works..., it has been working for five hours without any problems so far.

Very basic fridge, just what I wanted, even got my color: Bisque (thx Home Depot). 7 days in, still playing with thermostat setting using a refrigerator thermometer. I am finding that middle or high setting is keeping all shelves at 37 degrees or cooler, which is maximum for food safety.

We haven't bought a Refrigerator/Freezer for 32 years my Hotpoint quit working (its refrigerator light hasn't worked in years and I had to place battery operated lights that I could push on to see in my refrigerator.) It was an amazing Refrigerator/Freezer and will be missed. We went to Home Depot and bought our new General Electric Refrigerator/Freezer out right. It is now up and running. It is beautiful and we may eventually have them install a icemaker (our plumbing is ready for one though). It wasn't in the budget at this time. I did not want a stainless steel or glass front Refrigerator/Freezer because they are so expensive and do not match the rest of my appliances. I have a almond colored sink, stove top and microwave. I was worried Bisque wasn't going to be the right color, but it is perfect. I'm super happy! Oh and does it have grwat lighting in the refrigerator!! Oooolalah!!!!

Nice design. Happy to find the warm bisque. Excellent lighting. But unfortunately very loud. Setting must be set rather high to get the fridge cold, which means the comparatively loud compressor runs quit a bit. The door shelves, could give more room. Maybe something needs to be changed or I am missing a shelf?

Refrigerator works well but is quite loud. When putting things on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, I have slammed my head into the freezer door handle twice. I think rhe handle should have had a curved design instead of pointed. If shelves are adjusted for three shelves, none if them are big enough for a large bottle of soda. I had to adjust the 2nd shelf to about 6" high and bought freezer bins to put on this shelf to use like drawers in order to store smaller items. Then tall things will fit on the bottom..

New Frig Review!

Frig was delivered on July 1. So far so good. I notice that the fan runs pretty consistently which I'm not used to. (My old frig of 30 or so years didn't have a fan.) I purchased the 16 cf which doesn't have a meat drawer or the egg holder on the door so I'm getting used to doing without. I do miss them though. But overall, it's a nice frig, nice color (bisque) which matches my stove & dishwasher. Nice bright LED light is a nice feature. Fingers crossed, this one will last another 30 years! 😉

Basic refrigerator

This refrigerator replaced a previous GE model. This current unit was about 3 times what I paid for the first refrigerator with much cheaper finishes. The shelves are now wire instead of glass and there are fewer drawers. The door shelves are too large and jars slide all over the place. I bought this refrigerator because I needed one in bisque color which is perfect, but the rest of it looks cheap.

It seems inexpensively made, with plastic shelves vs glass, no deli drawer,lightweight door, etc. I guess that™€™s the problem with buying online and not touching and actually feeling it before purchase!
