This refrigerator runs loud!

This refrigerator has nice clean lines and looks good in my kitchen. It cools nicely but it is loud! I did size down from a double door with the freezer below and I™€™m still trying to adjust. But my biggest complaint is how loud it is! Had I known this before I wouldn™€™t have bought it.

Noisy and needs to be on 4 setting instead of 3

I bought it from Home Depot two days ago. It is so noisy! And I have to keep the temp setting at 4 instead of the recommended 3. I have a thermometer in both freezer and refrigerator sections, so I know it was too warm at 3. I keep calling HD to find out if that means there's a problem but no one in the dept answers. So now I am stuck with a very noisy (fan noise and I guess coolant noise) and am not sure if it's working correctly. Don't buy this noisy refrigerator.

Pretty nice but...

This is a really Sleek unit that looks very nice. The freezer stays very cold and everything stays Frozen but the refrigerator is colder at the top than it is at the bottom:-(. If you put milk in the bottom it goes bad a week earlier than the sell-by date and if you put eggs on the top it will freeze them. Also the way it is set up makes it have less capacity than it should considering its size. I know you can change the shelving configuration and I'm going to attempt to try to make it a little more user friendly of a design. I don't know if it's a manufacturer defect or if all of the fridges are like this but if the rest of them don't have these issues I would definitely give it a higher review!

I really love this new fridge. My only issue with it is that it makes a buzzing noise when it turns on it's cooling mechanism. My old fridge was a Frigidaire that I bought in 1995 and it was still working when I got this new GE fridge for energy savings. The Frigidaire didn't make the buzzing noise. It's no big deal, I was just surprised to find that my 30 year old fridge was quieter than this new one.

I™€™m a little disappointed in the seal of the freezer™€¦. After closing it tightly, it doesn™€™t take much to open it and makes me feel it isn™€™t even sealing well. The freezer capacity is also something that I wish were a little bigger.

I am disappointed by how fragile the bottom shelving was, the plastic cracked and then the glass a few months after installation. I™€™m disappointed because the plastic became brittle so quickly but the fridge cools very nicely.

Unit is 4 weeks old with temp failure issues, Freezer would stop working and temp will reach 51 degrees. Fridge stays ok, may rise to 42 - 46 degrees. Every time a tech arrives, they replace the board. They make you feel your crazy and we are making this up. I have photos and videos also purchased La Crosse Technology temp gage sensor for the freezer and fridge so I'm not lying about the temp. Any whos' 4 weeks old, 2 service calls, now expecting GE service to look at next week (First week of June) and lost food from Memorial Day holiday. Store we purchased the Fridge suggested to go out and pack freezer with Ice. I'll keep you posted if this unit is a failure.

I had the fridge set at 4, i put my thermometer in and the top shelf area is cold, the bottom shelf is in the spoilage zone. I just turned it up to 5, which is all the way. So far I'm not impressed.

I am very happy with this model. I have a small kitchen and thought in the ideal roomier house I would want a larger model, but really this model is very adequate for our 2 person home. The freezer is roomy, and the glass shelves are easy to clean. Others have mentioned the noise level, but I find it runs quietly, and quieter than my last refrigerator. Quite satisfied!!
